Good weather, longer survey days with birdsong and sunshine :-)
The West Country in early February ... so the weather remains difficult and we continue to survey. I look forward to reporting good weather and long survey days with birdsong and sunshine :-)
After the extreme weather experienced over Christmas, we are pleased to find that our surveys are still able to proceed even though some of the ground remains very wet.
We are currently deploying four survey teams across Devon as the construction industry finds its feet and starts to build once more. Commercial archaeology is alive and well in the UK.
Business continues to flow for us and for all the archaeological geophysical survey businesses I know which means, I guess, that the renewable energy companies are also busy and construction companies are continuing to plan ahead for better times. We need more good news like this to reach our TV screens!
Substrata is pleased to announce that we now offer multiple sensor array surveys for clients requiring a fast project completion. On large, open sites with suitable terrain it is possible to achieve survey rates of between 4 and 10 hectares per day.
